What we do

The club furthers its objectives through these activities for members:

Meetings

Meetings are held in the meeting rooms of the Moe Library, 29 George Street, Moe, VIC, 3825, usually on the fourth Friday of each month except December, at 7:30pm. During periods of COVID-19 restrictions, or if the speaker cannot attend in person, meetings may switch to virtual online delivery.

We would like to acknowledge that we meet on Gunaikurnai Land.

Guest Speakers

At most meetings there is a guest presenter on a topic related to natural history or conservation, with opportunity for questions and discussion to follow.

Members Nights

In January and July, meetings include short presentations that allow club members to share their experiences of natural history.

Monthly Excursions

These are usually held on the Saturday immediately following monthly meetings, when a leader organises a field trip that is often related to the month’s presentation.

Field Camps

Spring and Summer Camps allow members to explore more distant areas across Victoria, over an extended weekend of day trips from a base location.

Business Meetings

Monthly business meetings (open to all members), during the week preceding general meetings, attend to the operation of the club.
