Traralgon South Flora and Fauna Reserve

Traralgon South Flora and Fauna Reserve is a large reserve with considerable variety of vegetation types because of soil differences, variation in elevation (nearly 100 metres), springs and seepage areas. The conservation value of the reserve is high because of the number of eucalypt associations (distinctive combinations of eucalypts and understory species) that are found within a relatively compact area. The land was reserved for conservation in 1987 following lobbying by the our club, in particular Bon and Ollie Thompson.

Meet at the car park of the reserve at 10am. The car park is on Callignee South Road, about 6km from the intersection of Callignee South Road and Traralgon Creek Road.
